Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty continues for 2009 PersonalWatercraft.com February 4, 2009 Shares Comments The industry's only open racing support programBRP is continuing to offer the industry’s only racer contingency program with the 2009 Sea Doo X-Team Bounty. The Sea-Doo X Team Bounty program is available to all Sea-Doo watercraft mounted racers competing in the specified classes on 4-TEC powered Sea-Doo watercraft. The Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty is the sport’s only “open sponsorship” by offering extra cash rewards to support watercraft racers’ efforts of reaching racing glory. “Sea-Doo watercraft mounted racers dominated the 2008 racing season with a spectacular finale at the IJSBA World Finals where they claimed an incredible 44 of the possible 57 podium positions available and 16 of the possible 19 Championships,” Sea-Doo says in a release. “These staggering results can be attributed to the launch of BRP’s race-inspired 255hp Sea-Doo RXP-X as it proved to be the race machine of choice in 2008 and returns for the 2009 season poised to again dominate watercraft race courses across North America.” A special “X-Package” bonus will be added to the normal payouts where racers competing on Sea-Doo RXP-X or RXT-X watercraft will receive a bonus of 125% of the posted Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty payouts. The Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty program rewards North American racers who successfully compete aboard Sea Doo watercraft in designated classes finishing in the top two positions with additional cash. Payouts are available to top finishers in the various APBA and IJSBA sanctioned closed course races across North America and for the IJSBA World Finals taking place in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. in October 2009 where the sport’s single biggest event takes place annually. Complimenting the Bounty program is the Sea-Doo X-Team Promoter Support program, assisting select race event producers with additional funds to produce high quality, safe events, and to promote the sport with greater reach.
