Lake Norman Powersports is producing the three day journey of the intra-coastal waterway (ICW) between Myrtle Beach, SC and Charleston, SC on July 17 to 20. Calling it a personal watercraft pleasure/adventure trip, Lake Norman Powersports says the tour will have a special focus on the social aspect of personal watercraft riding. Participants will travel 110 miles each way through a wide range of scenery. From the dark, narrow waters near Myrtle Beach, through the tranquil, uninhabited waters of mid state to the historic, urban environment of Charleston, riders will get an extensive look at South Carolina’s varied coastline. According to organizers, the ride will offer a unique experience for Sea-Doo watercraft owners, one that can be shared with others who share similar interests. Land support will be provided by the Lake Norman Powersports team, which will transport participants’ bags and luggage from the departure location to the destination providing hassle free travel. For participants who have not developed their sea-legs, the land support can accommodate a watercraft on a trailer if the need arises. The Lake Norman Powersports ICW Ride trip costs US$135 for one person and an additional US$110 for a second person on the same watercraft.
