Sea-Doo X-Team headed to World Finals PersonalWatercraft.com September 23, 2009 Shares Comments Riders competing for “Brake the Bank” bountyTop money winners of the 2009 Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty contingency program have been invited to compete in an exclusive competition aboard the 2010 Sea-Doo RXT-X watercraft with 260hp and iCONTROL technology. The 2009 regular season of watercraft racing has come to a close with the Sea Doo X TEAM now preparing for the IJSBA World Finals taking place in Lake Havasu, Ariz. Oct. 10-18. BRP will be leading the way at the 28th annual World Finals with the Sea-Doo X-Team “Brake the Bank” Bounty event with over $20,000 in contingency and prize money available to Sea-Doo watercraft racers winning in select classes. BRP has stimulated the World Finals X-Team Bounty program to offer up to 200% of the previously posted Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty payouts. Troy Snyder of Bradenton, Fla. has earned over $2,500 in extra funds, leading the 2009 money winners racing his Sea Doo RXP-X watercraft to two APBA National Titles. Snyder will be the top seed in the exclusive Sea-Doo racer only “Brake the Bank” Bounty competition, where the winner will receive $1,000 cash for one fast lap. The Sea-Doo X-Team “Brake the Bank” Bounty Challenge is part of a massive World Finals event effort from BRP. This will include the 2010 Sea-Doo X-Team iCONTROL Center displaying the new line of 2010 Sea-Doo watercraft equipped with iCONTROL technology and iBR (intelligent Brake & Reverse), an interactive iBR “Braking” competition for the kids in Performance Alley, and iCONTROL Test Rides on the newest Sea-Doo watercraft. The “Brake the Bank” Bounty Challenge pits each racer against the clock to post their fastest one-lap time aboard the new, race-inspired 2010 Sea-Doo RXT-X watercraft with S3 hull and iBR. Each X-TEAM racer will be offered a rolling start with their time beginning as they pass the start/finish line in front of the main grandstands. They will negotiate the official IJSBA World Finals track and cross the finish line as fast as they can. The Challenge comes in the form of a brake lane after the finish. The racer will have to stop the Sea Doo RXT X watercraft before a clearly marked set of buoys, using the new iBR System, or they will suffer a time penalty. Qualifying will take place Friday, afternoon October 16th with the top three qualifiers moving to Sunday’s final. 2009 Sea-Doo X-TEAM “Brake the Bank” Bounty Challenge invitees include: Troy Snyder, Brad Bohat, Joe Bohaczek, Eric Lagopoulos, Jeremy Schandelmayer, Scott Wilk, and Guy Greenland.
