Sleek and powerful are two words that describe the SX-R. Function is also important and Kawasaki really made the grade, with a built in flush kit, extra wide rider area and the most comfortable standup ride we’ve yet had. This machine, all-round, has what you need from a performance stand-up.
In terms of styling, the lines on the SX-R 800 personal watercraft are like no other before it, with curves and bends everywhere—almost resembling a physique of ripped muscles. It comes in color combinations of Kawasaki red, white and black, or green, white and black, while a new nose piece is as slick looking as it is functional to keep the nose of your craft intact.
Usability ranks high, as proven twin 2stroke technology powers this beast to close to 50mph out of the gate. Reliability and maintenance are typical, and we found no serious problems in the SX-R 800’s design.
The larger size and increased handling make this a great watercraft for beginners. An expanded rider area complete with pads and rail caps make things easy even, for those who are bashing around waves on their first ride. Learning to turn can often be the most difficult part of stand-up riding, and the SX-R 800 makes this much easier on the new rider as well as it cuts the corners for seasoned veterans.
