yamaha 1200 problem
i just bought a yamaha 1200, 2000 year. it has 103hrs. it starts slow but when i hit a sizable wave, itd sometimes just take off. hit another wave and it might keep going or it might slow back down to 34mph. any ideas on this?

Its possible you have a loose ground or a short somewhere! how does it run on the trailer?

PLEASE Tell us what you did to FIX this????
I am also about to purchase a used 2000 yamaha xl 1200 ltd. And am curious on how reliable they are?? I am new to pwc's and really just want to learn more! the guy wants 5900$ CAN with a trailer. The inside looked really clean(practically new) but the bottom had some nice scuffs! What exactly should I look for when I water test it?? PLEASE I need some advice before I buy! I have read the manuals and it seems to be little maintenance but really what am I getting into??? He claims he doesnt know the hours and is the second owner!!! Roughly how many hours should be on a 2000 waverunner(Estimate).Someone please reply with anything!!!!I greatly appreciate your guys help!

look over the ski
if it is clean and well maintained you will get 1000 of hrs on it
